Australian pasta and pasta sauce manufacturer San Remo has launched a redeveloped range of fresh pasta product.

The line, made using “quality ingredients”, now uses free-range egg and pasta at a “high” 12% egg content, the company said. Other ingredients in the range include 100% Australian beef and free-range chicken, fresh ricotta, no added artificial colours or flavours, and no GMOs.

The range consists of Fresh Unfilled (Lasagna, Pappardelle and Fettuccine), a 625g filled range (Ravioli, Tortellini and Agnolotti) and a 350g filled range.

“San Remo’s commitment to the Australian durum wheat industry and producing top quality pasta is well documented,” said chief marketing officer Michael Neale.

“We take great quality durum and carefully mill it ourselves to produce the right grade of semolina to enable us to make brilliant pasta. Now in our fresh range, we have concluded that we needed to use ingredients in our fillings that are worthy of the quality San Remo pasta.”
