The Australia New Zealand Food Authority (ANZFA) has recalled a soy sauce product imported from Vietnam by a Queensland company on fears that it contains unacceptably high levels of a potentially cancer-causing chemical.
The King brand’s New Soy Sauce, which has a “best before” date of December 2000, was found by the Queensland Department of Heath to contain 200 times the safe levels of the chloroproponal chemical 3-MCPD.
