AUSTRALIA: Authorities ban ‘deadly’ jelly confectionery
The Australian authorities have banned from sale a jelly confectionery that has caused the deaths of at least 15 children around the world. The ban, implemented under the Trade Practices Act, will see companies caught selling or importing the mouth-sized jellies liable for a fine of more than A$1m (US$0.54m).
