Less than two months after the boardroom coup at Buderim Ginger, in which the former board and chairman were ousted, the company’s shareholders are set to vote for three new board members.

There are five candidates for three positions on the board. With the need to retire two directors by rotation, the current chairman John Ruscoe, who ousted David Graham in February, has offered himself for re-election. Similarly, Doris Crear and Stephen Maitland are also standing for re-election.

Joseph Magill and Robert Hansen, chairman and MD of the Peanut Company of Australia (PCA), are also standing for selection to secure their places on the board.

The elections will take place during Buderim Ginger’s annual general meeting on 30 April in Brisbane.
