Cereal giant Kellogg Australia has announced it is to cut 100 jobs at its processing plant in Brisbane, as the company moves production to the central coast of New South Wales.

Kellogg’s ended months of speculation when it announced that the Brisbane factory would close in five to 12 months.


Kellogg Australia managing director Michael Bracka said the decision was critical to secure the company’s snack manufacturing platform and develop the business longterm.
 
The company said it would invest A$10m (US$6.7m) in the expansion of its Healthy Snack People site at Charmhaven, NSW, leading to the creation of 100 jobs, reported the Courier Mail.
