MasterFoods regional president Andy Weston-Webb said the company received a fifth letter on Thursday, threatening a Sydney organisation unconnected to his company.
“We immediately contacted the NSW police and the food authorities,” Weston-Webb said in a statement.
More than three million Mars and Snickers chocolate bars have been removed from sale in NSW after MasterFoods received a series of threatening letters.
One claimed seven bars had been contaminated in the Sydney area and an earlier one contained a bar contaminated with a pesticide.
