Almost 100 meatworkers will be relieved to resume work at the northern Tasmanian plant, which has been at a standstill since December, when Blue Ribbon went into receivership.


Plant manager Jack Erichsen says the facility should process 100 cattle tomorrow, with this figure back up at 200 per day by the end of the week.


Meanwhile it emerged late last week that former Blue Ribbon CEO Ray Joy was part of a group of investors linked to a new company that last year acquired control of Blue Ribbon for a short period of time.
