Babidge was the former CEO of the major milling and baking group, Bunge Defiance, before its sale to Goodman Fielder, and was for many years MD of the dairy interests of National Foods Limited. He was also instrumental in the recent establishment of a sales and marketing out-sourcing company to the food industry.
According to SNF’s chairman, C Grubb, the appointment represents a major initiative in the further development and growth of the company as a leader in the area of functional and nutritional food products.
Babidge’s substantial Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) experience, commitment to performance-based management and enthusiasm for the growth potential of SNF are seen as key attributes.
SNF manufacture long life soy and other beverages, soy yoghurt, and soy ice confection. The company is also contract packer of other beverages.
