Fist launched in 1964, and named after the horse that won the Kentucky Derby in 1958, Tim Tams are, on a per capita basis, the biggest-selling chocolate biscuit in the world. Consisting basically of chocolate-coated biscuit fingers sandwiched together with cream, Arnott’s produces six varieties of Tim Tams (original, dark, double coat, chewy caramel and two limited edition varieties – white and hazelnut praline) at its Huntingwood bakery, near Blacktown.

The white chocolate variety was released as a special edition for Christmas 2000 and Arnott’s corporate communications manager Anna Burr told the Daily Telegraph: “We have received hundreds of requests to bring back white Tim Tams.

“For the past year, we’ve been receiving phone calls almost daily from people all wanting the same thing.”
