
French agri-food group Avril has named Paul-Yves L’Anthoën as its next chief executive.
L’Anthoën will succeed Jean-Philippe Puig and is set to join the company on 3 November for a transition period ahead of taking up the role in March.

Puig has led the group since 2012.
Avril’s consumer portfolio spans edible oils, condiments and plant-based meals, with products sold under brands including Lesieur, Puget and Costa d’Oro.
Outside France, the company operates in Italy, Romania, Morocco, Algeria, Senegal and Austria.
Arnaud Rousseau, Avril’s chairman, said: “Puig has played a key role in building the group while preserving its agricultural roots and the uniqueness of our model. We extend our best wishes to him as he embarks on this new chapter in 2026.”

By GlobalDataAvril said L’Anthoën, 55, has spent his career in the agricultural sector.
He most recently worked as group CEO of Axéréal in Orléans from October 2017 to September 2025, following a spell as CEO of Terrena’s agricultural operations from December 2013 to October 2017.
Previous roles include seven years as managing director of Seveal & Agrihub at Groupe Vivescia between September 2006 and September 2013, and five years as branch manager for Sanders at Avril from October 2001 to September 2006.
He began his international career in Montréal as market manager for Groupe Roullier.
