Lotus Bakeries has appointed Barry Callebaut executive Isabelle Maes as CFO.
Maes joins Lotus from Barry Callebaut, where she has served in a number of functions including CFO of Belgium. At present, she is overseeing an “important European group project” at the Swiss chocolate group, Lotus said. She will join Lotus when the project is completed in April.

Lotus has also promoted Jos Destrooper, corporate director for finance and HR, to director of finance for its Belgian arm and for group HR. Lotus said the move reflected the group’s strong growth in Belgium, driven by internal growth as well as M&A.
Destrooper’s appointment will “strengthen” the local management team, Lotus suggested.
