Belgian supermarket chain Delhaize Freres et Compagnie de Lion has purchased a 7,500 sq m warehouse in Kehlen, Luxembourg for an undisclosed amount.

The warehouse, which will supply Delhaize supermarkets in Luxembourg, will store around 2000 items including regional goods, alcohol and fruit juices, reported the Luxembourg News Digest.
Delhaize, which currently operates 20 supermarkets in Luxembourg, is planning to open a further eight stores there in 2003. Delhaize’s supermarkets in Luxembourg operate under the banners AD, Proxy Delhaize and Shop ‘n Go.
