The company said that Central Retail had agreed to buy some stores, but the exact number was still under discussion, reported Reuters.
“We have reached an agreement with Central Retail Corp on the sale of a proportion of our stores in Thailand,” investor relations official Geoffroy d’Oultremont was quoted by Reuters as saying, adding that the deal was likely to be for around 20 stores.
Delhaize operates around 36 stores under the Food Lion banner in Thailand.
