The consumer goods giant said the move is designed to boost the company’s competitiveness and keep a lid on costs in both markets.
The company insisted that the integration would not affect its Lipton factory or its Food solutions business. Unilever is looking to merge its sales and marketing teams in both countries.
However, the new entity, Unilever Benelux, will keep an office on both countries – one in Brussels and the other in Rotterdam.
