Pan-Asian retailer Dairy Farm International Holdings has appointed Alec Tong as group finance director upon the retirement of Howard Mowlem from the position.
Tong, who takes up the role in September, is currently the treasurer of Dairy Farm parent Jardine Matheson Group.

He has been with Jardine Matheson for 17 years and held a number of senior finance positions, including finance director of Jardine Motors and Jardine Pacific
Dairy Farm chief executive Michael Kok said he was “very pleased” to welcome Tong to the business and paid tribute to Mowlem.
“Mowlem has played a significant role in restructuring and refocusing Dairy Farm during his ten years with the group, enabling us to become a leading food retailer in Asia. We would like to thank him for his invaluable contribution to Dairy Farm’s success and wish him well for the future,” Kok said.
