Grupo Bimbo is rolling out Healthfull whole grain bread across the US.

The Mexico-based bakery group said the bread, made with whole grain flour, will be sold in under its Arnold, Brownberry and Oroweat brands.

Three varieties will be available: flax and sunflower; nuts and seeds; and steel cut oats and honey.

Aubrecia Houston, brand manager for Arnold, Brownberry and Oroweat breads within Bimbo's US arm, said the bread would "deliver 12 percent of the recommended daily dietary fibre and have 80 calories per serving".

"We know, from our research, that consumers are interested in adding more whole grains and fibre into their diet. And we also know that no one wants to sacrifice taste," Houston said.

Officials for Bimbo's US business could not be reached for further comment at the time of writing.
