Mexican bakery firm Grupo Bimbo has launched a “nutritional” snack for children in its Spanish market.
Bimbo Kekos are cocoa cupcakes “filled with…iron and calcium” the group said in a statement. The new range is also low in saturated fats, the company said.
The cakes feature four characters: a bear, robot, doll and a “strongman”.
“With the release of Kekos , BIMBO reaffirms its commitment to nutrition and quality within its overall commitment to innovation,” Bimbo said.
The new range will RRP at EUR1.85 (US$2.31) for a five-box unit.
