Brazilian retail group CBD has booked a 12% rise in same-store sales for the third quarter of the year.
CBD, better known through its trading name Grupo Pao de Acucar, operates just under 600 stores throughout Brazil.
The company yesterday (13 October) reported same-store sales growth of 12.9%; turnover leapt 38.2% on BRL6.09bn (US$3.54bn).
CBD saw its same-store sales accelerate during the third quarter. Over the first nine months of the year, same-store sales rose 12.1%.
CBD said a key factor in its “excellent sales performance” was a campaign that marked its 61st anniversary last month.
