Sales in Brazil from Dairy Partners Americas (DPA), the dairy products joint venture agreed between Nestlé and Fonterra, have been forecast at R$1bn (US$378.3m)  in the first year of operation.

Nestlé Brazil last year posted sales worth R$5.7bn. Chairman Ivan Zurita said the goal of the JV was “to improve the efficiency of milk production and the manufacture of dairy products”.


DPA will start production next year in Venezuela and the Mercosur trade bloc countries (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay). Over the next three year, it will be expanded into the rest of South America, Central America, the Caribbean, and NAFTA countries (the US, Canada and Mexico).
