Wal-Mart has not yet signed the deal as it is fighting a court injunction that prevents Ahold from also selling its other Brazilian supermarket chain, G Barbosa, to Wal-Mart, Reuters reported, citing sources.
“The company (Wal-Mart) has already chosen the executives that should work in Bompreco… in the first two weeks of December,” the source told Reuters.
A spokeswoman for Wal-Mart in Brazil declined to comment.
