Brown-Forman, a US-based provider of spirits and wine, plans to invest $200m to expand its Casa Herradura tequila distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. Construction is expected to begin in July 2023. Brown-Forman acquired Tequila Herradura, the Mexican company that produced Casa Herradura tequila, for $776m in 2007, adding it to its portfolio of brands that includes Jack Daniel’s, Old Forester, Woodford Reserve and GlenDronach. The company has manufacturing operations in more than 25 facilities around the world, employing some 5,200 people.
