Greek snack food maker Chipita International has said its Chipita East Europe unit has agreed to acquire Bulgarian snack food firm Royal Foods Holding.

The acquisition, which will include brands and production facilities, is expected to take place in May, reported Dow Jones International News.


Royal Foods, Bulgaria’s second-largest snack food maker, had sales of €13.5m (US$16.6m) for 2003. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
