The Burmese ministry of health is warning the public not to consume a number of Thai-produced energy drinks because they contain chemical ingredients such as monosodium glutamate that could prove hazardous to health.

The ministry is reportedly concerned over the extent of the black market trade in the drinks, which include brands such as Sunflower, Red Bull, Letters, Pot and Red Leaf. According to the government, these drinks are extensively illegally imported and it has now banned the importing trading and consummation of them.
