Canadian dairy co-op Agropur has named director and consumer goods veteran Robert Coallier as its new chief executive.
Coallier, who has served on Agropur’s board for two years, will become CEO at the end of the month. He replaces Pierre Claprood, who announced last year that he would stand down after eight years in the role.

Agropur, which generated C$3.3bn (US$3.3bn) in sales and C$151.3m in underlying profits in 2010, has 27 plants in Canada, the US and Argentina. It sells brands including Natrel, Oka and Island Farms.
