The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has extended its public warning of 2 August, to include additional information on Micson brand Dried Potato for consumers with sensitivities to sulphites.

Such consumers have been advised not to consume this product, which is made in China, as it may contain sulphites which are not declared on the label.
Richmond Hill, Ontario-based Sang Lee Dry Seafood Ginseng & Antler (Canada), the importer of the 454g and 1lb packages, is voluntarily recalling the product from the marketplace, where it was distributed in Quebec.
Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with sensitivities to sulphites, although there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
