CANADA: CoolBrands posts Q4 and fiscal year profit increases
Canadian frozen food company CoolBrands has reported fourth-quarter earnings of C$9.1m (US$5.8m), up 58% from the same period last year. The company, which makes Eskimo Pie and Yogen Fruz frozen yoghurt, also reported revenues of $86.4m for the fourth quarter ending 31 August, up 38% from the fourth quarter of last year.

In the company’s financial year 2002, revenues were up 36% from the previous year to $242.2m, while net earnings for the year increased 64% to $21m.
