Canadian retailer Metro Inc Richard Dufresne has quit as the company’s CFO.
Dufresne, who has spent six years as Metro’s finance chief, resigned yesterday (20 February) to take a position at an unnamed company.

“The company thanks Mr. Dufresne for his contribution during the past six years. The appointment of his successor will be announced at a later date,” Metro said.
Earlier this month, Metro reported an 8.6% rise in first-quarter profits on the back of increased sales.
Metro runs over 600 food retail outlets in Canada under banners including Metro, Super C and Food Basics.
