Canadian food maker George Weston has named Pavi Binning, former finance chief at telecommunications group Nortel Networks, as its new CFO.
Binning will join the company in August, replacing Bob Vaux, who will leave the business by the end of 2011.
Chairman and president Galen Weston said: “I am delighted that Pavi has agreed to join us at George Weston. He is a capable and experienced finance executive and brings with him a wealth of international management experience.
“He is well known to us, having served on the board of Loblaw Cos. for the past year, where his contribution has been significant.”
Canadian retail giant Loblaw is a subsidiary of George Weston.
