Clearly Canadian announced that the Glengrove Organics large bag format is to be sold in Loblaws’ Natural Value departments from next month. Glengrove became part of Clearly Canadian following the latter’s acquisition of DMR Food Corporation.

The large bag format features one pound packages of organic items such as raisins, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, as well as an assorted dried fruit and nut mix. Glengrove Organics said that its products are initially to be packed in sizes of approximately one pound or larger, but future line extensions would include smaller packs aimed at the single-serve snack category.

“We are delighted by the acceptance of this new programme from an organisation such as Loblaws,” said David Reingold, president of DMR Foods. “We are confident these large pack sizes will attract traditional bulk dried fruit and nut customers as a much more convenient packaging alternative.”
