“From a commercial standpoint, this is not a product that will be introduced commercially either this year or next year… beyond that it’s hard to say,” Trish Jordan, a spokesperson for Monsanto Canada, was quoted by Dow Jones as saying.


She added that the company still has several “milestone” issues to overcome, including regulatory approval in Canada and its main export markets, development of grain handling, sampling and detection systems, and market acceptance, before it introduces its Roundup-Ready wheat for commercial growing in Canada.
