Kellogg Canada said it has established an important category innovation with three new breakfast cereals for those wanting less sugar without artificial sweeteners.

Special K CarbFit, Froot Loops 1/3 Less Sugar and Frosted Flakes 1/3 Less Sugar target Canadian carb-watchers and those wanting sweet taste with less sugar.
“Froot Loops 1/3 Less Sugar and Frosted Flakes 1/3 Less Sugar maintain great taste without artificial sweeteners,” said Christine Lowry, Kellogg’s vice president, nutrition and corporate affairs. “We have two great-tasting cereals that both parents and kids will agree on.”
Special K has long been associated with weight maintenance, and the CarbFit variety targets the growing number of consumers following reduced carbohydrate diets. Media campaigns, store sampling and on-pack advertising will market the products.
