Kraft Canada Inc, the local arm of the US branded food giant, is warning the public that some Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter NHL glass bear bank jars (1.5 kg) may be cracked or broken under the label and should not be consumed.
The product affected by this alert is the Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter NHL Bear Banks (1.5 kg jars) with specially designed hockey jersey labels featuring the Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers, UPC 680401, and Best Before dates from 21 October 2002 to 25 October 2002 (codes: 02OC21, 02OC22, 02OC23, 02OC24, 02OC25).
Cracks or breaks may be found under the specially-designed hockey jersey labels and consumers are asked to return any affected products to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
Consumers can check the best before date and the UPC number on the top of the lid. The affected product was only distributed in Canada. No reports of injuries have been received.
Kraft Canada is voluntarily recalling the affected products from store shelves across the country.
