The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation have issued a warning on two varieties of chocolate bar.

People with allergies to milk are being advised not to consume two varieties of Life brand dark chocolate bars due to the confectionery possibly containing milk, which is not declared on the label.

The affected products include Life Premium Swiss Dark Chocolate with Orange – product code UPC 0 57800 16450 0, and Life Premium Swiss Dark Chocolate 72% Cocoa – product code UPC 0 57800 16449 4.

The products have been distributed nationally through Shopper Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores. No illnesses have been reported in association with the consumption of these products to date.

The importer, Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation, Willowdale, Ontario, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace.
