Canadian grocer Loblaw is advising customers not to consume its in-store baked cookies.

The firm today (18 August) announced a voluntary recall of its President’s Choice Decadent Chocolate Chunk Cookies due to the product possibly containing metal pieces one millimetre in diameter.

Products thought to be affected have UPC number 0 6038383903 8.

The product is sold nationally at Loblaw corporate, franchise and affiliated independent stores.

Loblaw said all potentially affected products have been removed from store shelves across the country.

Customers are being told they can return the product to any Loblaw store for a refund.
