Grocery retailer Loblaw said today (16 September) it has opened five Nofrills outlets across Atlantic Canada.

The deep discount stores will offer the retailer’s President’s Choice and no name private labels as well as national brand products, alongside fresh produce, meat, baked goods and dairy items.

“With the nofrills format, we are focused on providing our Atlantic Canada customers with a banner store option with a distinct price proposition that we believe will better meet their budget and lifestyle needs than before,” said Nofrills senior vice president Radek Mazurkiewicz.

Loblaw has already opened two Nofrills stores in Nova Scotia, one in New Brunswick and two in Newfoundland and Labrador. It also plans to open another in Sydney, Nova Scotia later this year.
