PurNutra Inc., an Ontario dairy producer owned company, will be the first to produce and package a new line of all natural omega-3 / DHA enriched cheese. The product is scheduled for its inaugural packaging run this week at Bright Cheese House in Woodstock, Ontario. All media and interested parties are welcome to attend.

DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid, is indicated in helping to reduce the risk of heart disease, depression and attention deficit disorder. Now researchers have also discovered that there seems to be a connection between low levels of brain DHA and Alzheimer’s. According to these researchers, people are not getting anywhere near the DHA they should which is 1.5 grams of omega-3 fatty acids per day for people aged 25 – 49.
