The plant will cease to operate on 29 July 2005, and its activities will be integrated into those of other Saputo  facilities. In all, 35 employees will be affected, some of whom will be given the possibility of transfer to company plants elsewhere.

This decision stems from a continuous process of analysis of the company’s activities as a whole and the implementation of measures aimed primarily at improving the company’s operational efficiency, Saputo said.
