Walmart Canada has recalled its Original Gourmet Passion Cookies due to potential undeclared allergens in the product.

The product, which is sold nationwide in 25g packs, bears a best-before date of 11 05 2012 and UPC number 6 5494 20117 6, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said yesterday (30 January).

CFIA is warning people with allergies to hazelnuts or other tree nuts, not to consume the product. It said there has been “one reported reaction” to consumption of the cookies and that it is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
