Challenges in the Swedish market have affected Candyking’s profits in the first nine months of the year.
For the period to the end of September, Candyking reported a loss of SEK69.2m, compared with a loss of SEK33.8m a year earlier.

Candyking said its net sales in Sweden fell 8%. Group sales, however, increased 2.3% to SEK1.32bn.
For the third quarter, Candyking reported a loss of SEK15.6m, compared to break-even a year earlier. Underlying EBIT dropped 26.2% to SEK18.6m.
