US fresh produce firm Castellini Group of Companies is to set up a processing and distribution centre in the state of Georgia.
The site in Conley will handle fresh-cut fruits and vegetables. It is scheduled to open in September. The US$52m project is expected to create 300 jobs.
The facility will serve wholesale, retail and foodservice customers on the East Coast of the US.
“Our expansion in the south east will allow us to better serve current customers and continue our growth strategy by opening up new markets,” Castellini president and CEO Bill Schuler said.
