Police in the city of Fuyang (Anhui province) have arrested 47 people involved in the manufacture and sale of fake infant formula milk, which is thought to have killed 60 children from poor farming families in the region.
Police in the city of Fuyang (Anhui province) have arrested 47 people involved in the manufacture and sale of fake infant formula milk, which is thought to have killed 60 children from poor farming families in the region.
State television recently reported similar cases in neighbouring Shandong and Henan provinces. As part of an overall crackdown on the operation, police have so far confiscated thousands of bags of fake milk powder made under 45 different brand names by 141 factories across the country.
