Cadbury has recalled 11 products made in China and distributed to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia, the confectioner told just-food today (29 September).

“All the dairy suppliers of Cadbury passed the government tests but Cadbury initiated its own testing as a precautionary measure,” a Cadbury spokesperson said. “Preliminary results have just come back indicating that there may be an issue, so we initiated the recall.”
The products, manufactured at the company’s Beijing plant, include a range of Cadbury chocolate products and Choclairs that were exported to Taiwan and Hong Kong, the company said in a statement.
Additionally, one product manufactured in China and exported to Australia – Cadbury Eclairs – is included in the recall.
“Cadbury is putting in place additional checks and procedures. We will be making replacement product available as soon as possible after these steps have been fully implemented,” the company said.
