Ferrero Rocher has successfully brought a lawsuit against a Chinese food company it accussed of copying its eponymous gold-wrapped chocolate brand.


According to a report in the Financial Times, Tianjin High Court has ruled that Montresor (Zhangjiagang) Food must pay CNY700,000 (US$86,785) to Ferrero Rocher.


The court has also ordered that the Chinese group cease production of the contested chocolate brand.
