The 5,000-square-foot centre is adjoined with Hormel’s processing facility in the Baoshan District of Shanghai.
Hormel claimed the move would “facilitate the entire creative process from ideation and testing to manufacturing”.
“As we continue to grow internationally, it is essential we adapt to changing local tastes, cultures and lifestyles,” said Richard Bross, president of Hormel Foods International.
Hormel’s presence in Asia includes ventures in China, the Philippines, South Korea, Japan, and most recently, Vietnam.
