Ajinomoto Frozen Foods, a unit of Japanese food company Ajinomoto, has said it has signed a contract with China’s Xiamen Ideal Group and Japan’s Life Foods to set up a joint venture to produce frozen vegetables.

The joint venture, which will be called Xiamen Ajinomoto Life Ideal Foods, is to be set up later this month in Xiamen, Fujian Province, reported Kyodo News.


The venture will buy Xiamen Ideal’s frozen vegetable factory and start operations by the end of the month, Ajinomoto Frozen Foods said. The venture will be 51% owned by Ajinomoto Frozen Foods, 30% by Xiamen Ideal and 19% by Life Foods.
