First Natural Foods, China’s largest frozen natural food manufacturer, saw 2007 turnover rise to CNY739.5m (US$105.8m) – a 36% year-on-year increase.

Profit from operations increased by 11% to CNY236.8m.
Turnover from frozen seafood totalled RMB327.3m, while frozen functional food sales reached CNY375.8m. Revenue from convenience foods, the smallest division, reached RMB34.2m.
Commenting on the results, Yeung Chung Lung, First Natural chairman, said: “The group recorded a satisfactory performance in 2007.
“During the review year, the growth in the group’s turnover was mainly attributable to our placing food safety on the top importance, which secured customers’ confidence and also granted us as the model exporter of agricultural product processing industry in China.”
