Convenience store firm Seven-Eleven Japan reportedly plans to open 350 franchised stores in China by 2008.

The company already operates over 800 stores in China, but these new stores would be its first franchised outlets there.

“We would like to focus on developing store operations, including products and services adjusted to local customers,” company spokesman Minoru Matsumoto was quoted by AFX Asia as saying.

The company plans to open its first franchised outlet in China this year, reported AFX Asia.
