CHINA: Starbucks plans entry into southern China through HK chain
US coffeehouse giant Starbucks, which first arrived in China in 1999, will soon be expanding into the southern provinces of Guangdong and Hainan. Hong Kong restaurant chain Maxim's Caterers has won the franchise for the new outlets. The company already runs more than 20 Starbucks outlets in Hong Kong.

Company spokeswoman Doreen Shun told the Associated Press, however, that no more details are currently available, and that an official announcement would be made in early May.
