Situated in the city of Qingdao, the centre is the first of three Tesco ‘Lifespace’ malls that the UK retail giant plans to open by the end of February.

The mall, designed and developed by the Tesco China Property Co., sells Chinese and international brands in what the retailer describes as a “modern, vibrant setting”, anchored around a Tesco hypermarket.

The mall features over 30,000 sq m of selling space alongside a 10,000 sq m Tesco hypermarket. It also features a community area and 750 car parking spaces.

The additional two malls to open in the coming weeks are located in Qinhuangdao (Hebei province) and Fushun (Liaoning province).
