Garcia Ballester, a citrus fruit grower and exporter in Spain, has partnered with Singapore-based Harvest Season to further expand in the Asian market.

Located in Palma del Río, Córdoba, Garcia Ballester supplies markets in Western and Eastern Europe, North America, Asia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico and South Africa, according to a statement sent to just-food. It generates EUR70m (US$75.5m) in sales.

China is one of the company’s largest markets, as it is for Harvest Season given its close proximity.

Meanwhile, Harvest Season, is described as a “consumer-oriented company, specialised in the distribution and marketing of agricultural products and health foods worldwide”. As well as China, the company is present in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, New Zealand and Australia, where it processes and packages local products. 

The translated statement read: “The great trajectory and experience of both companies made Harvest Season and Garcia Ballester decide to unite for the achievement of the same objective: to be a leader in the Asian citrus import market.”
